Milestones and Mayhem

Working on my writing MA has so far stolen my sleep and almost my sanity. May was particularly challenging with so many deadlines to meet culminating in the delivery of my unit portfolios. I have completed this first important stage and reached another milestone on my journey. I still don't think I had enough time to reflect on the material I have submitted but I am relatively pleased. Now I wait for the results before moving on to the next unit.

Here I am enjoying the magical May light in a recently discovered windswept wood ...

Mr Fenwick and I have just returned from a wonderful whirlwind couple of days in Pembrokeshire in South Wales with family (more details in my next posts). It was while travelling back to Lancashire, I realised just how mentally exhausted I am after having a nightmare while apparently awake! It created such a panic for a while. It felt like I was trapped in another dimension as if I was experiencing another version of reality. Complete mayhem! I have no clear memory of the event but it frightened my dear Mr Fenwick just a little. I have decided to slow down for a few days. My next course unit doesn't start until later this month so I hope to attend to other areas of my life to restore equilibrium and perspective.

So, here we are in the moment. Welcome fair and jubilant June! Nature is resplendent in her colourful finery and I'm so in love with buttercup meadows. There is an abundance of wildflowers this year, which I hope will be good for our precious bees.

Until next time, sending you much love and sparkling light. xx

Beautiful streams of light...
Congratulations on completing your first unit! What a wonderful way to celebrate, with a little trip.
Also, I remember feeling the mental exhaustion of completing my work for my 4 year university degree... I can only imagine what you're going through. Well, enjoy that milestone!

Oh dear Carol: Please don't work so hard!
I'm so sure your work will be wonderful but you must rest, try to sleep more and take care of your health. I know how easy is to forget yourself because of stress and other things you are focusing.
*hugs*
I love the image you have on the forest! The light is so gorgeous and the tones magic!
Sending you love and light my friend
xoxo

Thank you, David! My schedule has been tough but I feel that I have turned a corner creatively so it's all positive. I am taking every opportunity during this slow-time to bask in more radiant light. It is very healing. Much love! xx

Lena, you are so kind and caring, my dear friend. I am taking your advice and will rest to restore vitality over the coming days. It is true that we can sometimes forget ourselves while focusing on creativity. It is a constant pre-occupation trying to maintain a balance. All is well though and I'm feeling good. Much love & hugs! :-) xx

I hope you get to enjoy a well deserved break to rest and relax before moving on with your studies. Your descriptions of the Summer sound wonderful.

Hi Carol Ann, Oh, I so know that feeling, a tough semester over with, all that adrenaline and lost sleep catching up with you. I guess I was just there, in a less extreme way...I'm glad you were able to get several days of sunshine and mental rest and I hope your next semester is not nearly as rough. South Wales sounds interesting, hope you have pictures. Hope the bees are happy with all those wildflowers, too! xx
