Waiting in the Magical Woods

Here is a short video of me in the magical woods at Silverdale. I am waiting ... but for what?

Into the Magical Realm from Carol Anne Strange on Vimeo.

Despite the beautiful light and bright birdsong, there is an eerie anticipation. Perhaps I'm waiting for ethereal creatures or the lone wolf or the gateway to another world ... I'll leave that to tickle your imagination.

Back in my writer's den, I'm currently working on story projects and preparing material for my MA Writing portfolio. Time passes so quickly when I'm writing, the danger being that I become blissfully unaware of everyday reality.

In the thick of this busy time, I did have chance to update my website and I've included extra images too. Please do take a look at carolannestrange.com. As always, I'd love and dearly appreciate your comments.

Hi Carol Anne,
Thank you for stopping by my blog and your beautiful comments there. I too become blissfully unaware of everyday reality. The joy of it always outweighs any danger. I feel the danger when I am not creating. I love coming here to your blog, I always feel a sense of magic. I will peek at your updated website.
This Friday I may attending an author signing by Aprilynne Pike, she wrote "Wings". Full of mystery, drama and fairies. Continued good wishes for your book writing. May fairies always be flying in your life!

How lovely!
Those woods are truly magic specially to a fairy in human form as you are.
Your website is lovely! I adore the book style and your pictures! Is like peeking inside a fairytale.

Hi Carol, I just checked out your web site and I love your page layouts! Did you design it yourself?
Now my curiosity is really piqued! What stories can she be writing? Can't wait to find out...

Bev - You beautiful butteryfly woman - Thank you for your lovely thoughts. It brightens my day to know that you feel a sense of magic when you visit. And, yes, the joy of being blissfully creative to the extent of being unaware of reality definitely outweighs the danger. I quite agree. I hope you enjoy the book signing by Aprilynne Pike. I must add her book to my list! Thank you for your encouragement and good wishes. x

Lena - As always, you are so kind and sweet. I'm so glad you like my website but I only wish my images were as magical as yours. All your images tell a story and they are truly mesmerizing. x

Cheryl - Thank you for stopping by again and for your encouraging comments. I wish I could take credit for the web design but it is actually based on a template. As for the stories ... the writing is coming along nicely and I hope to be able to include one or two shorter pieces on my blog before too long. Keep watching this space. :-)

Here's wishing you all lots of magical moments in your day. Much love & sparkling light x

That truley is a magical forest. I was anticipating meeting someone, something. But the short leaves your imagination going, creating it's own story. What fun.

I find there are not enough hours in the day, I get so lost in what I'm doing. And what day is it? Who cares?

Carol Anne Strange said...

Thank you Martha and Linda for popping into my part of the world today and leaving such lovely comments.

And, Linda, yes ... it doesn't matter what day it is. There's certainly a lot of fun being lost in creativity.

Hi Carole Anne. Maybe it's just my imagination, but there seems to be an excitement in your writing of late. If that's what the MA does for you, I can hardly wait to get started on mine. Still feeling a little ropey, but the first signs of recovery are there on the horizon. The writing has suffered a bit as a result, but should soon be back to normal...
Chris.

You're right, Chris. It's proving to be an exciting journey!

Time is pressing on ... it won't be long before you start the course. Meanwhile, hope you're feeling miles better soon.

Take care,

Carol

Hi Carol, Your blog is lovely! I like the ghostly video in the magical woods. Now I can see where the inspiration for the Yarthkin comes from. I have yet to start my blog but you have inspired me. I've only just realized we have TWO separate portfolios to complete (Duh!)and am going to have to wait for Blogdom till after the 5th. x Abi
