Here I am in such a place. Look very closely towards the end of the video clip. Can you see the tiny flying light creature near my skirt? Oh, what a magical day it was.

Well, this is just another short update. I have been keeping very long hours of late, writing into the night, and meeting exhausting assignment deadlines for my MA. By end of this month, I will have completed my first portfolios and will be ready to start the next course unit, where I will focus on writing one of many novels. It's immensely exciting and although I have `real world' challenges, I'm focused on delivering the work that has been a lifetime in the making.
Before I fly back to story realm, I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for visiting my blog and leaving such lovely, warm, and encouraging comments. Your presence always uplifts me and keeps me going on my creative journey.
Take care and pop back soon for my next update.
Oooh ... and don't forget ... next time you're somewhere special, open your senses to the genius loci! Wishing you many blissful moments. x

Maybe that genius loci is what I sense when I am in places I love. I have tried to explain it to my husband. It's a feeling. He says it's memory. Oh, forget it, you just don't get it. The places I pick up on this are, the pine forests in eastern Oregon, and the high desert near Bend, Oregon. Always at the beach.
Thanks for that insight.
I love the idea of the genius loci, as I feel it when observing nature.
Have a beautiful day, and have fun with the MA.
David
Dear Linda ... Oh, yes, I'm sure it is. Some people do also experience a sense of memory of a place too so I can also relate to your husband's theory. I think most natural places do have this genius loci and it sounds like you're very much in touch with it out there in Oregon. Wonderful!
Dear David ... Thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear that you also experience a sense of genius loci when observing nature. I think this is when it's at its most powerful. Isn't life just magical!
Much love to you both. x
Wow, you're almost there and onto the next adventure! One of many novels....what a wonderful thing!
Ooh I saw it!
The genius Loci! How exiting...I think is magic!
What a nice place to be reading.
Thank you Carol-Anne for been such a fairy child!
I love coming to your blog is such a place of peace.

Cheryl ...An adventure, yes ...That exactly sums up the creative life! Challenges aside, isn't it just amazing? I still have quite a way to go on the novel length works but I can clearly visualize each step and I'm determined to finish the first ready for next year.
Lena ... thank you dear sister! Oh, yes, it is a magical place. I'm sure you'd love it there and find lots of inspiration for your wonderful photo creations. I have your email and will reply soon!!
Much love and light to you wonderful souls. xx
Your post genuinely speaks to me!

Thanks for sharing!
Genius loci? I understand that. I felt it one afternoon when getting out of the car just outside Castletown in the Isle of Man. It hit me with an almost physical force and I knew I'd died there, though I also knew I'd never been to the Island before - not in this lifetime anyway.
It took me 2/3 years to finally unravel the mystery, and the resulting story 'A Candle for Peace' was the first short story I ever won a prize with. No cash, just that piece of paper you can see hanging on the wall in my front room.
Yes, I believe as well.
Chris
Thank you, Nina! I'm so glad it resonates. x
Chris - Wow! That's amazing. Your experience sounds very much like a past-life or other dimension memory. I'll look forward to the opportunity of reading your story some time. It was obviously meant to be written. And, it's quite a coincidence that you mention the Isle of Man. I've just caught up with a friend there after losing contact for some 13 years! Thanks for sharing this, Chris. It's a wonderful insight. x
I too love the feeling of reaching a special place and opening up your senses to really FEEL the spirit of the place. When I walk the ancient trackways across the moor, you can almost feel the earth's heartbeat pulsing just below the surface. There are places on those paths where the weight of history feels overwhelming.( and a couple of iron age stone rows that my horse refuses to go anywhere near!)
Hi Danielle ...Oh yes! I completely relate to this. It's as if the earth has absorbed or stored memories of the past or perhaps there are other realms just on the periphery of our senses. It's fascinating. Thank you, Danielle for stopping by ... I absolutely adore your art and your blog and wish you much magic in every single moment. xx
